I really think the Clintons were one of the worst things that ever happened to feminism.

Then why not focus on anti-poverty? Why spend all this time campaigning to control women’s bodies?

Are you talking about prostitution in general or trafficking? Because it feels like you’re conflating the two.

Um thanks for the info. TERFs and SWERFs are pretty common on Twitter but most of them are more open about it. She isn’t which is why she bothered me and I was willing to name her. Someone I follow was retweeting her and they were shocked when I brought up that she was pretty much a TERF. I kind of view that

Her name’s Jessica Taylor. She used to go by Jessica Eaton.

One of the TERFs who I frequently see on Twitter talking about how psychiatry is bullshit has a PHD. Not all of the reactionary feminists (I honestly think we should stop calling them radical feminists) are sick people. Some of them are just hateful.

I understand that. I’ve been in therapy since I was seven but it took psychiatrists and therapists ten years to diagnose me with autism, and I’m pretty convinced my gender was a big factor. But that’s true of all doctors to some extent. Doctors not taking women seriously is a massive problem but we still don’t tell

I know (from personal experience) that psychiatry doesn’t have the greatest background with women. But I’ve seen more than one SWERF/TERF on Twitter talk about how all psychiatry is made up, how trauma is a natural reaction that shouldn’t be treated, and it makes me think a lot of these women would really benefit from

It really feels like they don’t actually believe in women’s liberation. They just believe that men are fundamentally rotten and will never change no matter what happens to society. And I get that a lot of that is shaped by their own traumatic experiences and victimization by men, but they then go on to victimize sex

And yet I’ve never seen these same women seriously advocate for the abolition of marriage. Which would probably be a much more radical feminist proposition.

It’s just so regressive. This view of women’s sexuality as something uniquely sacred that isn’t allowed to be commodified when nearly everything else on the planet is. If they really hate exploitation why aren’t they against all capitalism? Why zero in on this one form of work? And usually the same “feminists” who are

I do not understand sex-work exclusionary feminists. It honestly feels like they personally find sex work distasteful and they think everyone else must feel the same way. How are they any different from anti-choice activists?

What are the odds this woman is probably a sexual predator herself? Honestly, that’s what I tend to think about these women who have such warped ideas about assault.

Well black and brown women are often made to feel invisible from birth, aren’t they? Aging probably doesn’t make much of a difference in that respect.

I guess they want guards on women’s restrooms? Because TERFs seem to overlap with a strain of feminism that thinks more cops means safer women.

Wasn’t he 21 though? That’s not much of an age gap.

As someone who was born in 1994, I didn’t experience the “beautiful crazy girl” wave firsthand but it was something that became very much a part of my identity as I entered puberty. I’d been in therapy for OCD and behavioral problems since I was 7 so I had always known that there was something different about me. I

The Michael Jackson defense?

It’s not really the affair that’s the problem. It’s that she had a relationship with a subordinate which is deeply inappropriate.

What makes me so angry about Diana is that she clearly did love Charles at some point. And I don’t think he ever loved her.
