He was very charming apparently. When Weinstein and Spacey were accused, barely anybody came to their defense, but Jackson managed to cultivate so many celebrity friends.

Weinstein had lost a lot of prestige by that point. He wasn’t doing well financially as he had been in the past. So people were less willing to protect him.

And the abuse often really messes the victims up so the accusers are often people with little credibility in society. They may be drug addicts or have developed a criminal background. So no one believes them.

I’m just surprised it took this long. I was honestly starting to doubt that he’d actually done anything because no one seemed to be coming out with anything about him. I assumed he’d have been one of the first to be taken down after Weinstein.
