The publisher behind the overwhelming majority of this coverage is Rupert Murdoch. The publisher behind the overwhelming majority of climate change denialism in Australia, even in the face of the wildfires, is Rupert Murdoch. The press baron behind much of the mad dash to war in Iraq in both the US and UK was Mudoch.

And also the only reason Will Reeves knows is because of a time paradox which is just really cheap.

Ah yeah I’m assuming the former more so than the latter because the former could have more African Americans due to their weird slavery fetish so you can give more roles to POC and stuff. (Like from what I can tell by Dear White People and Black Christmas it’s that Millenial African Americans really love plantations

There’s no particular reason this couldn’t be a fun mini-franchise - Benoit Blanc as a modern Hercule Poirot, solving a different case every movie.

You either die an overlooked gem, or live long enough to become yet another franchise.

I really hate how they're bleeding out the book so slowly. Barely anything actually happens in the book as it is. Fuller and Green made it work because they tried to deepen the material, but without that it's just an absurdly slow way to adapt a book.

The Office and Friends are not wildly popular on Netflix because they’re discovering new audiences there (although to some extent, they are). They’re popular because

I was just thinking recently about how the streaming service I want most is basically just Soapnet. Dallas, Knots Landing, 90210, and 50 years’ backlog of General Hospital.

Sears in 1993: Why do we still have a catalog that lets people shop from home? That’s outdated; modern shoppers go to malls. Let’s kill our catalog.

Such a great show!
