My 09 Tacoma has experienced one $100 repair since I bought it new. It has depreciated $3k in 14 years and it gets me to weird places without any concern it won’t get me home.

Some people just like to go fast in a straight line. I’d be willing to bet that most people would smile behind the wheel of it.
Which has always amused me, since those are two things people absolutely cannot live without.
Yeah, I mean... I wouldn’t turn down either one.
2nd Gear:
While I do think EVs are good for just about every use case, except for old farts like me who just love combustion cars for all their faults, it really is indeed our garbage infrastructure that keeps it from making a lot of sense for a lot of people.
Wouldn’t the GranTurismo end up with some really high yearly registration fees in most countries due to the displacement tax?
So long as you plug it in every single day. That’s a hassle no one tells PHEV buyers about.
Coincidentally, now that we are perma-based in Europe, both the GranTurismo and the F-Type have been on my radar. I’ll probably still end up with a Miata RF, but it’s fun to think about the cars I can have now for roughly the same money as a new MX-5...
F Type R FTW.
That’s why I only shop at Bob’s Biotech and Radiator
They’re not laying off the drivers.
Was a $6K car, three years ago. This is well-priced with the hard top. If I didn’t already own my current NB, I’d be all over this.
Yep - my brother has been Miata hunting for some time and this is a fair deal. I told him about it, if he gets it I will report.
OP here is an 2012 AWD suzuki SX4 for sale in Helena Montana for $8,000 with relatively low miles of 100k. what is cool about the SX4 is that it is practical but still sporty, relatively good ground clearance and is an absolute mountain goat with snow tires! 33mpg highway EPA with awd is actually great.
I was going to say a subaru, but 10K doesn’t get you a lot these days and I’m sure subarus and other awd vehicles probably command some kind of premium in snow states. You’ll have to trade off something in reliability/mileage/snow capability especially if you still have to buy some snow tires. I’d go with something…
Again, the most practical, cheap, fun car you can buy is an 02-05 Civic Si:

Volvo and Polestar share EV tech, safety tech, chassis engineering, and even some design language. So not only are they not completely different companies, you really didn’t answer the OP’s question either.
Beautiful car from the front & side.. not sure about the rear. That iPad glued to the dashboard though.. c’mon.
