Arkansas doesn’t require emissions testing on vehicles. They don’t enforce the federal laws requiring emissions equipment on personal vehicles and never have, as far as I know. 

I would love to see Stellantis bring over some weird Euro stuff, but I assume that from the beginning, their products were not designed to meet US safety standards.

yeah i think the other automakers were hoping that Hybrid stage would be so short that they could just skip the expense of engineering them. i don’t know what some people really expected or hoped Toyota would do, their brand isn’t new tech it’s durable tech.

Auto manufacturers know that the only way they can impose a subscription model is if all of them do it. I think Audi is just signaling to the other companies that Audi will if everyone else will.
