righto. and the mid to late 70s. when i was a teen in the late 80s among kids that couldn’t afford new or even newish cars, almost anything made after ‘67 was considered cold dog shit. that malaise era wasn’t the golden age of anything.

yeah the front is gross. the back is ugly but not any worse than the civic si or the more aggressive-looking cuvs like the toyota C-HR. i think it looks pretty good from the side. not very BMW, but sharp.

i owned an ‘02. the shifter was great. kind of rally car feel. i think the manual element had it up there too.
