Purchased! Thanks a bunch for the recommendation. I'm currently writing a hollow earth series of stories myself, so this will prove really helpful.

That's fair. It's worth mentioning here that I have three separate Gmail, and thus G+ and Youtube, accounts. One I use for all my nerdy video indulgences, which I would be happy for my G+ friends on that account to see, but not necessarily for my professional G+ account friends to see.

That's interesting. Why's that?

As it stands I do nothing with my G+ profile but am very active on youtube. Definitely a smart way to get me to use G+ more.

I am really sick of Hatsune Miku.

Ah, okay. Sorry about that.

Sorry, I don't understand. Are you say that Demosthenes is a typical privileged white male? Or that she is demonstrating a perspective that you believe to be typically held by someone of that description? (I'm not being cheeky here since tone is easily lost over the internets, I'm just genuinely confused.)

... government control?

You're welcome to complain, just as other people are welcome to complain in response to you. It's called dialogue. What you seem to be advocating is for everyone to just shut up and stop talking about it.

You have missed the point. He is not apologizing for thinking the joke was funny. He is not saying he does not think the joke is funny. He is apologizing for the way he behaved in response to criticism. Nobody is attempting to take away his right to make crass jokes.

There is nothing spineless about this response.

It seems the glory days of (ultimate) freedom are over.

But the PA guys and the Fulbright team aren't friends. At least, we don't know if they are. They very well might be buddies behind the scenes, but we're not talking about a longstanding friendship here. We're talking about a business relationship.

You're using a lot of strong words here that don't align with the actual actions Fullbright have taken. Where on earth have they defamed the Penny Arcade team?

It's weird to me that you have a problem with people who choose to behave in a professional manner in response to the growing needs of a successful business. Why is it wrong to modify one's behavior based on a desire to maximize potential profits by trying not to alienate portions of your consumer base? There is

There's a waterslide like that (not as tall) at a Wisconsin Dells waterpark. ... is it not normal to fly up and free fall for a few seconds before reconnecting with the slide? Huh. You learn something new every day!

Because whining (read: not providing productive criticism or feedback) in the comments of an entertainment article has ever changed anything.

I get this all the time. Every time I've tried to report someone for harassing me (and I mean extensive harassment, not mid-game trash talk) I never get any kind of feedback from Microsoft. I'm ashamed to admit that I gave up and let them win, so kudos to this girl for airing their dirty laundry.

I can't wait for this next game. It's looking very beautiful thus far, and I have no doubt these guys are going to create another wonderful gaming experience.

It's telling that you equate highlighting some issues in a game with pointing a gun to someone's head.
