I never understood the FF14 obsession. Ditto for ESO, both felt like aggressively mediocre games to me that aren’t especially appealing unless you’re really into both franchises.

Depends on the card and the signature.
Right? I felt physically uncomfortable reading it. Cringe is a ridiculously overused word, but it’s what I wanted to do throughout. That picture with her too, yikes.
Why is this listed under an ‘esports’ subsection?
You should see the author of this piece’s article on a meet and greet with her, one of the most uncomfortable to read pieces I’ve ever seen.
Yup. With smaller streamers, totally understand that feeling if it’s a small/tight community of viewers, but that Kotaku piece on meeting Pokimane made me physically cringe as I read it. Such an uncomfortable, creepy, borderline obsessive vibe.
Never understood the Razer hype. Their mice feel like they’re made for fat hands with fat fingers.
Neither does cheating do that in Fortnite. One person cheating isn’t going to end the game for 99 people. Likewise, one person cheating in a sport won’t negatively impact every other player. Both will directly negatively impact other players by artificially inflating the performance of an individual.
Careful, any sparks and this straw man goes up in flames
PEDs is a way closer analogy if you’re gonna try to compare this to real sports. For what it’s worth, even the harshest league when it comes to PEDs (MLB) doesn’t immediately jump to a permanent ban.
This is the response I tried to type before being so irritated by the article’s tone that I closed the page. Well said.
Takes so hot they can’t be handled, yikes
“While I know it’s a really important issue to a lot of people, they need to know that Sojourn is amazing, and we would rather do right by the character—treat her like an actual human being—than just rush her out,” he said. “And I think that the fact that she’s going to be at the center of Overwatch 2 is going to be…
I miss back when Call of Duty campaigns were good. 1, 2, and 4 were fantastic games, it’d be really nice to see a new title hit those levels.
D3 was not in a great state at launch but it took considerable strides forward. You may not have liked it, but it definitely is not a bad game in its current state.
“It’s the return to Diablo II that many fans want, and it’s damn fun to play.”
As the seemingly solitary person posting about the trailer, damn. Not only did the cinematic trailer look amazing, but the gameplay I’ve seen looked great too. The smoothness of D3's combat but with a very clear focus on D2 style visuals and atmosphere. This game may be far away from release but it looks absolutely…
Huh? Using footsteps and sound queues is not playing straight up? I’m sorry you’re unable to make use of what the game makes available for everyone.
Same thing here, but for TF2. I remember playing RTD servers and being able to kill invisible players using sound queues, ended up eating several bans.
It always blows my mind seeing even a glimpse of the counterfeit toy/game/whatever industry in China.
