I think it looks much nicer than the Miata. I prefer the crisp lines to more bulgy looking styling of the Miata.

The extra torque doesn’t hurt, plus the added benefit of a boosted engine over a NA one is that tuning and simple mods usually nets a much higher increase in power, comparatively.
I like how the comments are stating they stick with a miata because of a slight HP difference when there’s a drastic (approx. 30 lb-ft) Torque difference...
It’s the 40 lb-ft of torque it’d be interested in. In the end I’d still go Miata probably.
And I enjoyed every single one of them
You’re kidding right? In 1995 the NMSL was repealed. Here in Illinois most of us are still waiting for 55mph to go away. Even the state legislature passed two bills over the governor’s veto to make it go away. It’s still here. Sorry, nothing that allows cops to hassle people and collect revenue is going to go away.
Of course. Because the people that will shoot a police officer would obviously follow all the other laws like window tint, restrictions on carrying a firearm and whatever caused the officer to initiate the traffic stop.
I’ve stuck to that guideline thus far (over 4 cars), and have driven interesting cars that I enjoy. It just requires buying older vehicles, which honestly isn’t that bad these days as good as cars have gotten. While I recognize that things wouldn’t work if everyone followed my lead, I am forever grateful to the poor…
You’re right, I was being facetious about giving the VW executives bonuses because they weren’t really trying to strike a blow against administrative overreach or anything like that.
You stand in the unique position of being both right and wrong at the same time.
Yeah well, these idiots think that if we don’t implement every EPA regulation or rule we’ll immediately revert to a Beijing type environment.
Because the EPA’s hands are clean:
I’m not even a libertarian. And just because SOME regulations are necessary doesn’t mean that ALL regulations should be accepted without question.
“but regulations which have not been voted on or publicly debated by anyone at all. And this is where we are now.”
Um, yeah. There’s plenty of blame to go around here, and it does start with Congress going back to the LBJ and Nixon administrations really, but the regulators have grossly abused the power that the legislative branch granted them. Of course, anyone could have predicted just such an abuse of power (and many did), but…
Consolidation of government power in an unaccountable, unelected bureaucracy.
If you think these regulations have anything to do with clean air or a healthy environment, then I have a bridge to sell you.
Why not just buy a set of allen wrenches?
For most people it seems that as long as it starts and moves they’ll drive it. I can’t count the number of times I’ve told my friends that they need to take their cars into the shop for a litany of different repairs. Me? I hear or feel even the slightest difference, and I’m on it like a hawk.
Yes they do. You’re not “hitting up a family” for the money. Your hitting up an insurance company. It's amazing how so many people have absolutely no understanding of how this works.
