Jeep sells pretty well, yo. Go back to your jellybean CUV and leave this truck to the adults in the room.

Jeep will sell the hell out of them for 6 months, then they will consistently sell them at about 1/3 of the rate of regular Wranglers. Ultimately, this will prove to be an excellent business decision as they’ll move close to 100,000 units a year with relatively minor development costs to make it happen.
The Chevy Colorado and Ford Ranger are waving frantically, screaming at the top of their lungs, trying desperately to get people to notice that you can get a quad cab truck that tows 7500 lbs for just over $30k.....and they’re nicer to drive to boot.
It’s frustrating because Tundras are still crazy expensive despite being ancient gas pigs. They need to either release a newer design getting >20mpg (while still being able to tow) and have a rear e-locker or drop the prices on the thing. The Nissan Frontier is cheeeap because it’s ancient. Even the loaded Frontiers…
As someone who drives a 15 year old truck, the only thing I like about this article is that it’s more reason for Toyota to hurry up on a new Tundra that gets better than 15mpg.
This is a really important point, and always a point of divergence for NPOCP.
It’s a nice rig considering the age, but that is an awful price considering the age and mileage. Just because people ask this much for one does not make it worth this much. $8k gets you better things.
I’m 6'1 and I am uncomfortable in my friend’s Taco after about 5 minutes.
...but just think of all the reliability you are buying... who needs things like horsepower and fuel economy?
Toyota shouldn’t have hired that ex-Gynecologist to design their seat position.
So it still comes with drum brakes in the rear... great.
I can’t decide if the “TRD” and “PRO” in the headlamps is stupid or awesome.
Meet the new Tacoma. Same as the old Tacoma.
Oh no, adding a 10 adjustable power seat to the Taco is going to rob it of some horsepower of which the truck doesn’t have enough of to begin with already.
so still just as inefficient as before? Worst in class fuel economy, worst in class horsepower?
If you are 5'5" with a short torso, you’re in luck.
So... no actual mechanical changes, then?
That’s unfortunate. Early electrical glitches fixed with a re flash. Most report no problems.....
Giulia baby, all the way.....
