Buy out Axanar? Why? Why would they reward bad behaviour? The only thing that would achieve is even more fan films out there. There would be a surge of fans doing productions under the delusion that they too could be a star. At worst, randoms that don’t care about ST would see it as get-rich-quick scheme.

Ed Woods also did it for the art. A bad artist may have a big heart, but still completely lack any talent whatsoever. And at least Ed Woods had narm charm going on for him.
