This was a nice post. As I reached the end of the last paragraph, I thought to myself, "WTF? What is this article filed under?" Then I look up and see it tagged WTF. Nice one.

I felt the same way. "How to make stone soup...!"

Trying other brands is a good idea. I might switch over to Netgear and give them a chance.

Yeah, you've got a point there... it may be time to examine other brands. My last few routers have been Linksys.

I wouldn't dedicate a computer just to be a router since it would use more power than a dedicated device. However, I have considered doing just that, except with my Windows Home Server acting as the router. My reasoning is that as long as the "router machine" is a server and was going to be on 24/7 anyway, then it

I would like to take this opportunity to declare that I am no longer spending over $100 on any router from now until forever. The last few routers I've owned only last a little over a year before inexplicably having to power cycle them once every week or two. My current Linksys E4200 started needing power cycling

Sounds like a good plan!~ How is it working out? How many pounds have you lost? Did you do better on your next checkup?

Check out the Vornado Zippi — it's virtually silent so you can put it right next to you and not be bothered. I picked up a few from a woot deal a few years ago for $10 each. They normally go for about $20-25. I love this fan!

Now playing

Ikea also sells hanging room dividers. My friend is using them in his garage that he's using as a home office. He did this rather than drywall-up the garage door. It looks pretty good, and you can get different patterns. They only take a few screws in the ceiling to hang and you could patch them up later when you

How about a big 5x5 ikea expedit bookshelf to act as a room divider? You can use it for storage too.

Klipsch Image Ones. Lifetime warranty. I own two pairs now... one for home, one for work.

I'm flying a red-eye from CA to NYC this coming Monday evening. I'll try it out and report back! Although I will say that not having to take the kids on this flight is already going to help immensely with the not-feeling-tired-after-the-flight condition.

People post those pics of their kids and/or their antics because that's what going on in their life - Right now, right this moment. The fact that a majority of people do this SHOULD lead you to the conclusion that a person's family/kids/pets are a BIG DEAL TO THEM, which is what being a friend is all about — knowing

I grew up in Louisiana. Sometimes one of the large ones would get inside, crawl up the wall and decide to fly around because they apparently get their jollies from watching terrified kids run out of the room. I've made it very clear to my wife about my present condition... I'm not scared of snakes, rodents, spiders,

Speaking of keyboards, I have a gripe that I've also confirmed with another "power" iphone user...

That's no satellite...

Thank you so much! Installed.

What we use our kids' bedroom for might sound a bit unconventional... We did paint the room a nice light shade of lavender and also put up some cute vinyl wall art stickers. But other than that, we don't have much else in there. Why? Because the kids play in the family room downstairs. We've been able to condition

I use Air Video to stream videos from our video storage network drive to iPad. Then, for the videos that I know my kids are going to watch over and over again, I convert those videos to MP4 and sync them to the iPad and just play with the built-in player. I like Air Video because it can do conversion on the fly.
