This is GENIUS. More useful than the tip for peeling a banana backwards.

Disagree. Too many gadgets already. Turn on airplane mode if you really want to focus. If you're wanting to hop over to check facebook so bad, maybe that book you're reading isn't really that interesting or reading at all. You already went through the trouble to set your phone to silent and turn it on its face; you

Since we're on the ~$5 kick... these are also $5 and are the same size as a credit card... [www.gogostand.com]

True, but you're not working for a spamish company that posts spamish ads on facebook.

When I first noticed the plus missing from the new tab chicklet I thought it was my desktop acting up, as sometimes the screen "forgets" to draw/redraw sections of windows and leaves portions of windows with shadows of other windows that were once above it. It hadn't occurred to me that anyone would consider removing

I watched 1.5 netflix movies over AT&T 3G a few weeks ago and got a "you are in the top 5% of users" warning email. This is the first time I've ever gotten this, and the first time I've done more media consumption on 3G beyond subsonic. 1.5 netflix movies puts me in the top 5%? I find that hard to believe!

You can also pick up wooden cutting board holders at discount places like TJ Maxx HomeGoods for $5. The one we have has 5 slots and wood doesn't RUST. Also, instead of the upside-down "U" shaped dividers, it uses vertical dowels so I can use those slots to hold a few pot lids.

Just purchased our first home in December. We used redfin to find, tour and purchase our home. I wouldn't have changed any part of our buying process. I made a bookmarklet that makes viewing photos on redfin a lot easier if anyone is interested. PM me if you want it.

Jason, you made gizmodo, Gizmodo. Hats off and best of luck to you!

What I don't like about screen protectors is that they themselves are so scratch-prone. The zagg shields are a little better for wear, but for most other screen protectors, 1 week after you put on the protector, the protector itself starts collecting scratches. So now you've self-sabotaged your own experience by

I don't think the back of my iPhone 4S uses the same scratch resistant glass as the front... there are lots of tiny little scuff-mark/scratch-marks on the back but the front of my screen-protector-free iPhone is as clear as the day I unboxed it.

happy wife; happy life!

I second the Linksys E4200 ... I just replaced a DLink DIR-655 that was having trouble with wireless. The Linksys E4200 even improved our wired connections to the Internet. Maybe a placebo effect, but still happy with the purchase nonetheless!

While we're on the subject of "Joe On The Go" —- those keurig k-cups, what do the brewing machines do? All they do is add hot water, right? I was thinking of just taking the k-cups to work, pouring the k-cup contents into my mug and adding hot water from our hot water dispenser at work. Wouldn't that be the same

I like the conspiracy theory story!

If you have headphones, you can plug them in during bootup. This is useful if you normally keep your volume turned on/up but need a quiet boot just this one time.

Every time I see or hear the word anemones I think...

Everyone that's saying, this analogy is wrong because Apple makes money off the iPad hardware is missing the point. What you're doing by pointing this out is that the iPad is winning the handles-and-blades war without even having to take a loss on the handle price! They have their cake and are eating it too. Until

We have a 3yo and 9mo. I absolutely enjoy the benefits of a quick-draw camera like on my iPhone. I especially like being able to access the camera from the lock screen.

I disabled Siri on my 4S. First I disabled the lift-and-speak, then I realized that I hadn't use it at all since I tried it out so just turned it completely off. I send text messages much faster by just typing them myself, I don't set reminders and I don't care what Siri is wearing and I'd already told her I love her.
