those are giveaways. get 'em before they're all gone.

@Zaos: i decided to quit bitching and got a microcell. haven't had a dropped call at home since then.

I see a lot of sites that outright steal content from popular sites (like any Gawker site) and repost on their own site as articles. There needs to be some way to stop that too, since those sites end up in the Google results, but have no right to be there at all.

@valmorphorize: great tip. I did that for my laptops before I got cooling pads. They worked great.

Actually, it's not easy to find cheap usb-powered fans. I looked into getting a few for a project i was working on, but ended up buying a CoolerMaster Notepal Infinite for $29. The base is huge and fits a 15.6" widescreen and is also very quiet. If you put a dust filter on the CoolerMaster's air intake I believe it

the stock earbuds sound fine to me. i guess i'm just not very picky.

@infmom: congratulations on the release!

@elizawhat: A big reason to keep the battery in the laptop is protection from power loss. Unless you're on a UPS...

@synchronicityii: I second the World of Color at California Adventure. We went without a ticket and had to watch it backwards/sideways. Still a nice show, but we'll eventually use our AP to watch it properly. Also, bring a jacket tomorrow since the temperature has dropped these few days.

Integration. Classy.

I use the shopping bags from nordsrom, saks, kiehl's, etc. The missus spends my money, I get a new lunch bag. Not such a great deal for me, but gotta make do.

@wickedcupofjoe: maybe not an add-in, but you can do something like this with gmail's calendar reminders and filters.

i know someone that got a used pedi-egg.

@minealone6: If you're using google's homepage, for example, let's say your search is: autohotkey site:lifehacker.com .... once you're seeing search results, in the left column, there's a link "Show Search Tools" ... first you'll have to click and expand that. Then you need to pick a date range, say, "Past Year" ...

I say buy something nice at a store that you know that person would shop at anyway. And include a gift receipt. If they don't like it, they can take it back to change the color/style or use the store credit to get something completely different.

@aelver: My friend, you must be onto something. That's why I can't resist them; they're always fresh if you buy them from temptation aisle. Gas station peachy rings are the ones to avoid. You could break teeth on those.
