@contrabassist: When I was working with MS Access back in '97 this was a good resource: [www.mvps.org] ... granted that was a while ago, but the concepts haven't changed. Just prettier buttons.

For the crossover adapter suggestion, I would recommend a pigtail-style ( [www.amazon.com] ) solution instead of the one linked in the article. The reason is because on some laptops there may not be enough space around the ethernet jack for a wide dongle to fit there.
It would be nice if this language is one of the "more than 30 new keyboards and dictionaries" they're including in iOS 4 for the ipad. :) [www.apple.com]
@Ozzie, The Last Hairbender: ditto what blyan-reloaded said.
@DogsOfWar: Do your powerline adapters have to be plugged straight into the wall, or can they be plugged into a power strip? I'm considering a power line adapter for a multifunction printer we're tucking into our hallway closet. It'll stay turned off until we want to print something.
@CompuMan: The racing stripes are a nice touch!! Well done.
@bamzero: this is true, and it's what I have it do, but WHS can't boot up my machine if it's completely shut down. I think the sleep state is the lowest state I'll be able to keep my machines in.
I want to shut down my computer at night but don't do so for a few reasons... #1 windows updates and #2 backups to windows home server. Both of these happen sometime after 1am. I think windows update is smart enough to check during the day or after it boots back up, but I don't want my computer to be busy doing that…
@CodeJanitor: rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriibbitt.
From the article: "on what Holliday had hoped would be a typical three-week trip "
@jeremiah89: NICE ONE!
@MercerCh00x: yeah the canned laughter was distracting :(
Budweiser and Bacon. I think this is what heaven is like.
@akacrash: in the iOS app, you can tap the Y! icon and that links to yahoo's website where you can look at more detail
@TrainAss: That would effectively bring the price of the apple tv down to $79 + $20 hdmi cable. Just how little do you want to pay for an HD streamer? I paid $130 my my ASUS O!Play and it's not as nice as the atv. Like another commenter said, expecting an hdmi cable with AV products is like expecting a usb cable to…
I'd like to mention this web app I wrote called [www.weathertiles.com]
Well, other than that, it seems pretty good.
@Lifelike27: My parents always administered the salt water gargle to me with hot (not scalding) water. I thought it was to help the salt dissolve easier, but the heat was also soothing.
That video was so lousy, it made me laugh. I guess that was the point!
Toilet paper roll: over or under?
