I would like to share my WHS system crash experience with my fellow Lifehackers. Hopefully after reading this, you'll feel a little bit more secure about your WHS...

@infmom: similar situation here. I work just a few blocks from Disneyland and have only been a couple of times in the past 7 years. When guests come from out of town/country we end up taking them to SF and Vegas (after Disneyland and Hollywood). Not sure why we do that when there's still so much more to see nearby.

@TheSwagger: are kidneys and livers worth that much these days?

@eodelf: thank you for your service. glad to see lh featuring your resourceful solution!

WARNING!! binder clips rust.... pesky tetanus!

being aware of your surroundings is the most important part of being on the road. You need to be aware of the idiot swerving lane-to-lane trying to get somewhere faster. A quick glance in your mirrors right before a lane change isn't going to let you realize just how fast that idiot is driving in the rightmost lane

@Navin R Johnson: Thanks Navin! I'm going to try the MythTV route since it was what you listed first. Mythbuntu frontend only install looks attractive. I just hope boot times will be quick.

At least for our older Toyotas, we don't have

To me, these color descriptions read like horoscopes. ...

@KRiSone87: how about chutes & ladders instead? :D

my coworker got the update. it's great. a little choppier than the iphone and the pinch movement to zoom ratio is a bit larger than the iphone's, but still a very important update. In my opinion, this makes the nexus one even more competitive with the iphone. I've owned all 3 iphones and am using the 3gs currently.

i wonder... if your company is tightening its belt and you can prove that they only need you to be there in flesh and blood for 80% of the time, that sounds like an invitation for them to eventually start paying you 20% less!

great idea!

Instead of cereal boxes, I've discovered that my missus' shopping habits come with a nice perk (other than spending my hard earned money). Most name brand clothiers and accessory manufacturers send you home with nice boxes. Paul Smith, Burberry, Coach, LV, etc will put their pricey wares inside a pretty box. I found

@Zombie Ms. Skittles: if you want something RIGHT NOW, you can just scotch tape the papers to the side of your monitor :)

This is what I did for my iPhone. A little more work, but not too bad. Got the mount at meritline for around $8
