And... why are you watching this crap?

I get why these machines took over in the office setting, but have been just appalled at how they got popular in the home.

I’ve been using this for over a decade. The head just washes in the machine, and I’ve bought one replacement head. That’s about $40 spent in a decade.

No, I don’t micromanage people working under me. If they can’t deliver what I think the project needs, I just get someone else. So a big portion of this still falls on the director. If he didn’t approve of Fong’s work, he’d have found someone else by now, right?

I’m genuinely sorry that I didn’t see that until after I posted. By the time I went back to delete, Kinja had locked it.
I considered apologizing then, but reasoned that you wouldn’t be so thin skinned as to take any real offense at such an innocuous correction that was actually correct. Guess I was wrong about that.

I still suspect that he just wasn’t right for this character and movie.
Yeah, he’s written some great female characters set in fantastic worlds.
On that basis, I can see why everyone thinks his version would have been great. But there’s more to this than Female lead + powers. Whedon’s women tend to be misleadingly

I think it was just a lighthearted twitter pic that wasn’t meant to start a rumor. But even if it wasn’t, Snyder should know better by now.

I like how you think!

Yeah, that was a hopeful moment.

That they talk out loud at all is such a concession to the medium that I have no problem believing they’ll just adopt whatever language we use.

I went through that process before watching even an episode!

Whoa. I didn’t watch it. What happened?

My understanding, though, was that directors usually get a great degree of control over who is selected for their crew, just as they get great input in casting. Obviously that’s not so much in big studio franchises like this, but the mere fact of directors working with the same DPs over and over again as a team

Golem, not Gollum. Makes a big difference.

What WWI stereotypes have you got in your sights?

Delicious.

I agree with everything you’re saying here. My wife is a paramedic, and my dad died in part because he thought he could somehow outsmart basic physiology. He was also pretty brilliant in his field.

Very good and informative response. I appreciate the enlightenment. However bad this judgement call was, though, I do still think this is a flimsy hook on which to hang an insinuation that he wasn’t smart.
This also wasn’t the only time his ego screwed him over, just the final one. And indeed, ego seems to be a special

Yeah, he made a dumb swerve towards the woo, but that’s not what killed him. Pancreatic cancer has a 5 year survival rate of 6%.
