The whole original concept of Deadspin was that it covered sports in a satirical manner and often in the larger context of the news cycle. By relenting to the “stick to sports” snowflakes, they destroyed any remaining reason for Deadspin to exist.
Every time another smart, talented journalist leaves Deadspin (or any other G-O site), Jim Spanfeller smiles, because his barely-coherent business plan was never predicated on employing smart, talented journalists. He seems them as expensive PITAs.

Deadspin’s new owners are throwing away a potential goldmine. Rather than invest in it and nurture it, the’re treating it like trash.
I don’t get why they’d buy something so unique only to destroy it.
A smart, marginally rich person would be wise to hire every single person at Deadspin right now, give them a website, and get out of their way.
Deadspin took tons of chances on people and types of articles other places wouldn’t. Even if you didn’t like them, the media world is a lot worse for having fewer places like that.

Does anybody know what Buttigieg’s actual platform is? I’ve checked and it seems pretty thin. Nothing nearly as concrete as what Warren is proposing. He doesn’t even seem to have a policies section on his website.
