yeah, that always annoyed me, too. I had kind of thought that the history Obi-Wan described was of the order already weakened and somewhat obscured- and MUCH more than 30 years previous. I chalked it up to the Force extending his longevity.

Fore the same reasons Republicans cling to the claim that there's no climate change, and even if there were, it's not a big deal. And people didn't cause it. So there.
I've always liked that twist, and thought Kenobi's explaination reasonable enough on it's own. But much of the supporting stuff, especially as expanded on in prequels has none of that elegance.
I knew about the lava going in as well, but I had really hoped that Vader wouldn't be completely Vaderized by the end. With him in the full suit, Tarkin overseeing the Death Star, and almost every Jedi wiped out in one fell swoop, it's like nothing happened in the 17 years between Revenge and ANH.
I agree entirely. Han is hardly the same character in Jedi. The arc I would have liked to see is that Han dies, completing his arc as a true hero, leaving Leia pregnant, to perpetuate the Skywalker bloodline (and tradition of absentee fatherhood). Lando steps up to Han's place in the Alliance (though not his place…
"Lucas had forgotten Obi-Wan gave the lightsabre to Luke."
Yes.
There's no shred of recognition, though.
Def.
No, rescuing him was too important a hook, and said too much about this little band that had come together. But it would have been a great and fitting death for him to take Lando's role, flying the Falcon into the center of the second Death Star, but not be able to get out after nuking it. It would have been…
"I do wonder if the prequels would have been better if he hadn't had kids"
No they're not.
So he's already been replaced once... Lucas surely ain't above doing it again.
le sigh.
Well, beyond being able to be tested for the Force... Yoda was in on the scheme to hide Anakin's kids. Yet Obi-Wan presents Luke to him an an unknown.
Using FF on Win7- videos used to autoplay when they first redid the site, but haven't since they fixed it (fairly early on in the fixes).
Thanks.
My understanding was that much highspeed rail could be put on existing railroad right-of-ways, replacing the old track. At the very least, a second rail would require more space, though probably most often in areas close to the city which would need to be redesigned anyway. Another thing this would help with is…
My Aunt just gave me her 1st printing Sgt Pepper vinyl: mint condition with the cutout insert!
Barefoot? REALLY?
