I actually loved what they did with Luthor. Over the course of the film, we see him gradually shift from a very straight take on Hackman's Luthor to something much more vicious and dangerous.

Excellent comment.

Well, in a girl next door kind of way. I don't find her remarkably good looking, and she's the wrong type of good-looking for Lois.

I know I keep harping on this, but I just can't see a shred of Lois Lane anywhere in those pics. Well, Adams is female, I guess.

The clothes and the way they're posed together in the first pic. The main character's pleatherization is a bit ridiculous. It's a semiological nod to how daring and sexy she's supposed to be, but they'd do better just dressing her normally and pinning a card that says "dangerous and sexy" to her shirt.

"Reamde seems like it could never work: it's an epic-length thriller packed with infodumps about obscure ideas and 200-page gun fights."

I hope not. that also doesn't explain why Amy Adams is there. What, he meets a cute girl reporter while washing dishes and chases her into a job at the Planet?

Yeah, it's a bit spotty, but generally worth the watch.

Those Lost Girl pics are a bit tacky- the show itself walks the line. Odd choice of characters if this is an official release.

Undercover... well, that's my best hope. It would explain what Adams is doing there.

Yep. This point prety hard to Birthright, though I'm not sure what that means Amy Adams is doing there.

My only argument with your article is the characterization of Washington as "a typical urban landscape." It's one of the best planned cities in the world, though the original brilliance has been screwed up a good bit by truly crappy adaptation to the automobile. Even beyond the planning, it's urban landscape is

Good for you- those writers need it!

Sorry if that sounded bitchy. As an artist (of a sort), I've just gotten way past the common idea that we should all have to work day jobs and do the really cool stuff on the side. That works right about up until you hit 30 or so. Then you kind of want to have a life, and be able to do other things in addition to

Well, I can't really fix pollution, so I better stop bathing, I guess.

Did you catch the bit where I said that I didn't endorse the argument? I was just trying o clarify since you genuinely didn't seem to understand.

Wait- WHAT's that about liquid paper?

Dane is being a shithead about it, but does raise an interesting point. Allergies seem to be increasing at an alarming rate. The same was true when I was a kid- there were a few people with seasonal pollen allergies, and one kid allergic to beestings, but very few people were so very deathly allergic to so much.

"It's not like I walk around with peanut butter smeared all over my body."

You realize that it takes time to write, right? Are you familiar with opportunity cost? Did you read to the bottom, where she says, "The money raised will allow me to focus on writing these stories, which may be a little unconventional for a traditional publisher."
