This happens quite frequently. People get in their heads about their own concepts, and when trying to articulate the awesomeness of what they thunk up, they end up elaborating away the purpose of said awesomeness. This has even happened >gasp< to me. Luckily only very rarely at a a meeting or presentation.

they always do. Except, you know.. when you're plying them.

You have...

lol

Linking to my previous idea of how it might go down in the DCU, and why.

No, it's more of a "Superman Return" kind of thing: some of it is still in effect, they just what tell you which bits. Oh, and several of the books now seem to occur in different time periods.

So do they have the ears?

Nice to see you let the crab-brain out fo the cage every once in while :^)

I thought to tell you, dude. I was just checking the comments before messaging ;^)

"does the scientific method act to eliminate the effects of historical chance, and our present state of knowledge is somehow necessarily true?"

But then eventually, it's all about generations, and what happens to characters like Superman who are mortal, but whose power can't (or shouldn't) be passed on? Once we're thirty years on, all the iconic heroes are just inheritors and we lose out on the resonance of the origins.

So... you love it... so you want a remake or you don't want it remade?

"Batman is about a man who lost his family, but also about a man who created a family out of loss."

I do wish they'd at least let Nolan get the next film out before going on about the one after that.

Sorry, wasn't suggesting he built it- his parents did that. Just that he was awesome enough to drive. a. rocket.

Sugestions?

I just watched Rocketeer last year and liked it quite a bit. It's really not perfect, but it's much better than it's performance would indicate.

YeeeeeeahNO.

Hwo does this necessitate "heavy" reworking?

This post is just so full of win that the win has dribbled over the rim, down the page, and has started pooling under the Gizmodo link.
