I play for an amateur league, getting a little worse every year as I get old. Still too proud to play for the over 30s though.

The school I work for dropped varsity football last season due to lack of players. They’re back this year but another high school in our district dropped their team, probably for good. I have mixed feelings about the decline of football. On one hand I view the sport as dangerous no matter what safety precautions are…

What did you dislike about the combat system? My first run through I was constantly  frustrated by it but when I replayed it recently  certain things clicked and I found myself enjoying it more.

The World Cup is a long and hard tournament, and burning out those players early would be unwise. It sucks to drop points on a wonder goal but if they hold serve against an underwhelming Morocco and a miserable Iran they are through and will need those guys.

I was a college athlete. I’m 5’9”. When I was in shape, I could dunk. Tom Brady can dunk.

It sounds like they faced it down, thought they were safe, and then were caught by surprise when it attacked. Hard to think clearly when you’re getting mauled.

I think that other sports show the way to move forward. The real shame of the NCAA is not that they don’t pay players, it’s that they willingly operate a minor league system for basketball and football despite that not being beneficial to their players at all. Amateurism can exist but being a minor league is sham…

This is awful for the woman and her family. I know that we all want our final moments to be serene, but death is cruel and rarely decent. It sounds like the EMTs did the job they were supposed to do.
