Hi, there aren’t only two options, “Reveal everything about the plot and what happens in it,” or, “Put literally nothing in the trailer that says anything about what happens in the film.” Those are the two extremes, but there’s a whole spectrum of other ways to cut a trailer that fall in between those two. 

TFW you’re playing with house money to the point at which you don’t have to put anything at all of substance in any of your trailers and your movie will still make all the dollars.
