No love for E. Elias Merhige’s “Begotten”?
The film itself just looks like it’s falling apart before your eyes and it’s a pretty quick watch!

Andrzej Żuławski’s Possession is so underrated and should definitly be on this list. It works on so many levels beyond just “shock”
Isabelle Adjani declined her Best Actress win at Cannes for the film, saying it should never be released and was “psychological pornography”...enough said?
I made this comment last week, but it seems to have been lost in pending...
I’d add the series ‘Strange Angel’ to the nerdy CBS watchlist. I subscribed for that one alone! A very pulpy biography of Jack Parson’s, founder of the NASA Jet Propulsion Labs and a high ranking magician under Aleister Crowley.

I’m a big fan of both the comics and Del Toro’s take, but I don’t think the major difference between the two is (a lack of) blood and violence. More story-points and character differences.
You say “Freaking Adorable”, I say “Pandering and Uninspired”...and I liked BB-8!
I remember hearing about this and seeing some imagery early into production. I wondered if anyone involved was a ‘Portugal, The Man’ fan?
That was really awful and I’m not talking about the CGI.
I loathed Another Earth, thought I’d try again with I, Origins (and Sound of My Voice, for that matter) and all three left me cold.
The films use heady out of the box concepts and then leaves them largely unexplored. It’s a recent indie craze of scifi as window dressing.
Dive deep or mumblecore elsewhere, please...
I thought ‘The Scavenger’ and ‘Rey’s Theme’ was the best/most memorable piece of William’s music since ‘Duel of the Fates’
