I’m sure he thinks a teenager shoplifting a pack of gum deserves harsher treatment than he does if that teenager is Black.

You know and I know he doesn’t think he should be locked up with Black men, using the same toilets and showers Black men use, and eating at the same table Black men eat at.

This would be funny if it weren’t based on racists truths.

I wish I could write like Michael. Righteous anger amped by sarcasm, but alway under control...nobody ever misunderstands him!

When white men get treated like negros, they don’t like it!

Re-reading my post, what you thought was what I said, but not what I meant to say. The lack of clarity was all on me.

Uhm...yeah. That’s my point. We’re locking people up even though crime rates are decreasing. Republicans have been pushing fear of crime on their (white) voters for decades even though the real story is that crime rates have been falling.

Bullshit.

Sounds to me like he took something (like maybefentanyl) that depressed his breathing, and he didn’t get help in time. If he were in such a state because of damage to his brain, it’s unlikely he’ll recover.

The thing is, it’s not up to the police who arrest someone to punish them. It’s up to them to take the suspect into custody, then at some later date, after the suspect has access to a lawyer and a courtroom, the suspect’s guilt or innocence will be established and any punishment apportioned.

Would you buy a used car from this man?

More Black bodies would not have helped anyone. That video may end up helping millions by forcing everyone to see what we are as a nation.

Taking out the trash is part of the job.

One of my former (Black female) students was admitted to Brown on a full scholarship. She loved her experience there, and she got an excellent education. She’s since earned an M.S. in public health and is working on her M.D. at UCSD.

If Brown is willing to give this opportunity to a large number of Black students for a

Darnella Frazier, a young Black woman, risked the wrath of the violent police and stood her ground, getting the video we all needed to see.

Yep. But if a parent’s only tool is a big stick, what does that the teach children? What fraction of violent cops do you think were beaten as kids?

We never, ever hit our kids. It really is possible to explain why they must or can’t do something in terms they can understand, and if they’re too young to understand, a beating won’t teach then anything I’d want them to learn.
