This science is crap. A "continuous association" could easily relate to people with poor diet and excercise habits gaining a lot of weight while pregnant and then raising obese children. There is no indication that the high weight gain is causal and could eaily be an effect of correlation isntead.

@bacon ninja!: Weren't there rumours about Nicole Kidman doing that too?

@PhillyLass: I am not trying to say that nurture is irrelevent. I often think of it as being given kids with a bag full of stuff, and I have to teach them how to use it. So my son as a bad temper and is naturally violent, I have to teach him to cool down, and express himself differently for example. But the temper

I love this article. I think a large part of the perfect parenting pressure is fear based: If I do it right my child won't be the homeless drug addict... But I think it simply isn't true. Parenting matters, but only so much. Great parents can produce fucked up kids and fucked up parents can produce great kids.

As I see it, Hef isn't ALL bad, and showing that is completely reasonable. Nothing is quite so black and white. But by ignoring the negatives it just makes for bad film making.

I am such a mom. All I can think is how dangerous this looks.

My now husband and I had an argument about this - when he was 18 (and we weren't dating, and he was a virgin). Once he figured out that women also wanted sex, and weren't coerced into it by flowers and romance and the like he grew out of these notions. Marc isn't 18...

@Cimorene: See though, the amount money made off the assault and violation doesn't actually affect the damage done. It there were no profits made ever, but the same number of views the effect on the victim is similar. What you are saying is essentially punitive "this company should go down" instead of "I was wronged

Do you think she would have won had she sued for a reasonable amount of damages? While this was obviously assault, 5M only makes sense as a fine, not an award.

I don't think we have a right to child-free spaces, rights are a legal concept, and they are few and clearly identified. And children to have rights. some the same as adults and some unique to their position in society.

Wait - there are people who have six hours a day leisure time? I am so jealous.

You know, I suspect that they are still getting VIP treatment in jail. But it is jail, so it's still shitty. Just maybe not as shitty as for the plebes.

@itsonreserve: After just reading his FANTASTIC GQ interview I totally believe you.

This is a joke right? he was trying to be funny in the breakup. Because otherwise, it's just... horrible, even for CEFAD.

@florabore: I don't know. When I am drunk I think and say things that I never do sober. For example, if drunk and irritated with my husband I think that he is an asshole who I never should have married. I don't believe that for a second (and have the self control not to say drunk) but I never would even think it

@thePrototype: No, but I might be being hypocritical. Tattoos and piercings are more about self expression than sex and sexiness (usually) and makeup is generally public - which is different somehow. I am pretty opposed to plastic surgery though - my feelings on all this are conflicted. (Hence the want to believe

@thePrototype: That function matters more than form, that health is beautiful and that we are naturally sexy. Vajazzaling is pretty much in direct conflict with all that.

@Nun Shall Pass: Umm yes - that is exactly it. Crystals stuck to one's labia with glue.

Vajazzaling is probably the pop culture phenomenon that I understand the LEAST. As far as I can tell it goes against everything I believe (and want to believe) about beauty and the female form.
