Completely speculating here, but I think even in a world where the next gen Mustang didn’t have a Convertible, the Coupe would still have frameless doors.

I can’t wait until Mercedes-Benz follows the BMW example and starts welding an airplane propeller to the front of future cars. 

As a long time Coloradan, I say it might be time to give in and do what everyone else in Colorado does: Subaru (specifically Impreza).
