Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe when brakes are specified like this (19", 18", etc.), it means that you need a 19" or 18" wheel in order to clear the brakes, not that that is the actual diameter of the brakes.

I think if anything, this situation would really just expedite how quickly self-driving cars will hit the roads. Navigating the controls of a machine like this is probably too complex for the average human, and we’d probably see (um..) less cars on the road overall
