to be honest- he may actually have a case here. If a student requests a reasonable accommodation, I believe staff are required to work with that student in order to resolve the issue. Doesn't look like that really happened in this case which could give him grounds to sue.

Crybaby? Really? What is this, elementary school?

I have to confess, I expected to read about some MRA troll dude. This guy sounds like he might suffer from some sort of legit social anxiety issues. That being said, usually you can drop classes without repercussion the first two or three weeks of a semester. That might have been the prudent thing to do.

Waive, not wave.

Didn't you get the memo? Feminist solidarity and avoiding body-shaming only applied to women Jez AGREES WITH. Everyone else is fair game for mockery, whether it's for for being raped (Chris Brown) 0r having an eating disorder (this woman).

I don't get the hate for thin mom. I didn't want to admit it while the lynch mob was out but you know what, she does have a fit body that she worked hard for. I applaud her. Her message was a generic gym locker motivational poster but people took it personally for whatever reason. Whoever foamed at the mom over that

Oh that site I mentioned is beyond ridiculous. These people whine about the most mundane things possible. Such as: "boo hoo every single store doesn't carry my gargantuan size!! Waaaa!" Not to mention they think their "movement" is just as significant as the Civil rights movement, or their struggles are worse than the

Same here. I care a lot about being thin. I'm work out a lot. I would not be happy with myself if I was overweight. If I weighed 40 lbs more I'd just be fat but if I weighed 150 lbs more I would have a hard time walking—and it's absurd to say I'd be "healthy" at that size. But you can only be proud of your body

No fucking kidding. Obviously they have deep issues. Nobody is denying that.

I hate the word "thin privilege." So, personally, because I like eating healthy foods, stay physically active a lot, and don't allow myself to gain a ton of weight out of laziness or blaming outside sources (the government is making me fat! I have a medical condition! It's hard cooking healthy food! I have no time to

Oh yes the hypocrisy of body acceptance. Its only cool to be obese and if you're any other weight you're evil. I feel like this site is turning into the "This is Thin Privilege" tumblr.

That's why I want to petition for new writers. When an article is written about an attractive woman, the writer tends to be snarky (points out a possible nose job in this case). I just want to read an unbiased article for once! This woman obviously has a psychological issue. The writer shouldn't be snarky! Just GAH!

That's not what I was saying at all. I feel like this site has gotten really out of touch with body issues. The community here proclaims BODY DIVERSITY! THERE IS NO STANDARD SHAPE! ALL WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL! Yet, the minute one comes along to disrupt the offbeat beauty this site upholds, chaos. There is a protection of

"And at some point she got a nose job? Maybe?"

Wow. Just wow. That's the kind of mean, superficial speculation I expect from cruel teenagers, not a so-called "feminist blog".

So, you get mad at Kang and her body shaming or whatever, but then call out her apparent nose job. Good consistency.

I dont understand how Jezebel can consider itself a feminist blog when a majority of these articles are about hating on women for whatever the reason is. if women arent even in the corner of women who is going to be?

Whether you like what she has said in the past or not, disgracing a woman who came out to discuss an eating disorder she battled candidly and that millions of american women battle on a daily basis makes you an asshole, not her. There are obviously still some demons left from her disorder that she is battling with

I think she has a terrific body. I'm motivated by her and like her Facebook page quite a bit and post on it. I agree that exercise is great for mental health. And I've also known people who managed to get through eating disorders without therapists—I've known others who go to clinics and change nothing. Jezebel

You guys are mean. Seriously. Mean. If this woman were fat and "gushing" about eating whatever she wanted and being proud, you'd encourage her. But because she's thin and wants to eat, I dunno, grass probably, you body snark. The nose job comment?! Uncalled for. Goddamn Jezzies. Call it off. Ignore her if you don't
