The worst part is that they've reduced this woman to a victim. First she was a victim of poverty/corporate America/the food business/whoever they want to blame this week, and now she's a victim of societal standards.

I was only over weight for one year. I have no intention of gaining it back. In the unlikely event that I did, I'd just diet. I STILL keep a food diary, so that won't happen. Lifestyle changes aren't fad diets. Those 'regain' stats come from silly Weight Watchers and Atkins methods.
Ha, nothing but bitterness in your comment. I've maintained for a year...
No one needs to hate themselves in order to lose weight. Stop being melodramatic.
Again, l said a net a 1,200. You might eat 1,700 and burn off 500 through exercise.
That's not true. It depends on height and activity level. Browse the MFP forums and thousands of people live well on it. Maintenance is generally 1, 500. 2,000 was for a more active population - not office workers who watch tv or waste time online.
1,200 is not an eating disorder! It's the recommend daily target on MFP. I lost 40lb that way in a year, and even now often eat at that level. I'm not even vaguely anorexic and my doctors say my weight, health and intake is completely fine.
If you mean calorie counting and exercise, you'll find that lots of thin people do that too. I don't know why there's this myth of skinny people just winning the genetic lottery. They consciously or otherwise eat differently to the obese.

This might blow your mind, but loads of people lose weight despite those conditions. I have PCOS and still lost 40lb in a year through healthy eating. Stop the excuses. Your body does not defy physics - a calorie deficit = weight loss.
Society does NOT say that "the cure for fatness is anorexia." Stop getting your health tips from fat acceptance blogs.
I can't believe that you're comparing being fat to being gay and forced to act straight. Gay people have always existed. The fact that nowadays 60% of Americans are obese is down to junk food and cars. They weren't all born fat. Have some sense of agency.
You're ignoring the common sense option. If you really think thin people are 'Disney Princesses' (as you strangely put it) then become one (but you'll be disappointed when you learn there are few actual perks...)
Well, you'd have that 'magical privilege' you keep ranting on about if you did.
What are you even on about?
The length of that rant implies otherwise.
Look at the regulars bodysnarking:
"*clears throat*
AHEM.
WHY IS IT SUCH A PROBLEM TO SAY THAT FAT PEOPLE SHOULD FOCUS ON GETTING HEALTHY? WHY CAN'T I, AS A (sarcastic and hypothetical) THIN PERSON FOCUS ON MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS? I ONLY WORK OUT SEVENTEEN HOURS A DAY AND I HAVE A THIGH GAP AND BIKINI BRIDGE AND ALSO A…
No, but you apparently are. Lots of body shaming in this piece you wrote:
No, her podcast is genuinely good. She's said loads of time that TBL cuts most her advice and training out of the show, in order to make it more dramatic.
Or you could be proactive, lose the weight and stop feeling so bitter?
