You can save maps for offline in Google Maps too. They need to push this function more. Friends are always surprised when I show them it exists. I find that saving maps makes directions faster is also helpful when I'm on the subway planning on where I go once I get back up to street level.

And I'm sitting here still waiting for my Lockitron. It's a bigger unit but I like that it operates on both WiFi and Bluetooth. The Wifi feature is nice because you can lock/unlock when not home. Also sends alerts when the unit is used if you want that.
