Interesting. The connect feature looks like it's trying to replicate what Lockitron was originally doing. And now Lockitron is set up an exact same way as August. Their newest product has just a Bluetooth lock with a separate Wi-Fi dongle that you plug-in. Of course the backers have to actually receive the product to

I remember doing a tour of the WI state capitol back in the 90's and they had a signature machine that replicated the governor's signature. They said rarely does he sign stuff. Appointed committees do most of the work, and the governor just says 'OK' then the handwriting machine signs whatever document needs to be

Seems like a problem an eight dollar HDMI cable could easily remedy.

No "Under the Dome"? That'a show I love to hate.

Twin Peaks is coming in 2016, not 2015. Though there will be a book released in 2015 that tells a bit of what happened in the last 25 years to prep you for the new season.

I just picked up a Surface Pro 3. One of the great features I discovered was a USB port on the power brick (thankfully those have gotten smaller). It doesn't allow a usb device to talk to my computer unfortunately, but it does at least let me charge my phone and keep the sole USB port on my computer free. But

I bike with one of these. Decent video and audio and durable as hell. My only complaint is the poor battery life.

Great info. Thanks. I knew about the light, but not the increased flash storage. I don't see anything different about processor though so it looks as though memory is the only real difference. Which of course could mean new apps that the Steel could use but not the original.

I just picked up the original model about

As far I know, the steel is no different from the original Pebble other than the design. the guts are the same. Anyone know differently?

Downside is that it doesn't provide offline navigation. But it has hand to have for those instances you're in an area where cell service is lacking so you can at least get an idea of where to go. I always update this before visiting my family in Wisconsin.

Same here. Running a Roku 3 and figured for $20 I'd give this a try. I don't like that the search limits you to just Amazon stuff. The games are fine. Better than Roku but really if you want great games, you're going to get an Xbox or PS. Otherwise you'll probably stay with gaming on your tablet and phone. I thought

But even on SW, people bring on huge carry on luggage when they can check two bags for free. Blows my mind because not only are they slowing down the boarding process but they are needlessly dragging luggage around the airport. I constantly see people trying to balance carrying a suitcase, purse or travel bag, laptop

This. Going down hills just destroys my knees. I try to put the weight on the ball of the foot instead of the heel but it's not always easy. Now I always hike with poles and the pain in my knees has dropped by 90%. I'm doing longer hikes on steeper terrains now. I don't care if people think I look cool or not. If

You can save maps for offline in Google Maps too. They need to push this function more. Friends are always surprised when I show them it exists. I find that saving maps makes directions faster is also helpful when I'm on the subway planning on where I go once I get back up to street level.

I have a Chromecast which I was fine with but the lack of Spotify support irritated me. Yes I can cast a tab and use Spotify's web player, but that's not always a convenient option. I picked up a Roku 3 on a Newegg sale and absolutely love it. Quick and responsive. And I love the headphone jack on the remote as I

More of a giant computer isn't it?

My girlfriend and I met on Tinder before we realized Tinder was for hookups and not a truncated OkCupid. We agreed to meet one Tuesday night at a great bar in LA (1642, go there!). It was mid February. My birthday was in a few days on Friday. As we were chatting about things the subject of birthdays came up and it

And I'm sitting here still waiting for my Lockitron. It's a bigger unit but I like that it operates on both WiFi and Bluetooth. The Wifi feature is nice because you can lock/unlock when not home. Also sends alerts when the unit is used if you want that.

It does and I use that feature often. I'm pretty sure the Android version supports it too. But it's much easier/comfortable to curl up on the couch and launch a movie from a phone than from the laptop. Still impressed though. And I hear rumors that TorrentTV is being migrated into it somehow to allow streaming to ROKU
