A good bike light is worth the money whether you traverse dark roads or city streets. I had a fairly inexpensive $20 light. While it was bright enough for traffic to see me it didn't do a great job at lighting up the pothole that I hit and totally bailed on. Cracked my helmet ($50) and damaged my pannier ($60).

The plus of the toddy maker here is that it makes really concentrated coffee and it can sit in your fridge for 3 weeks. 1 part coffee concentrate to 3 parts water and/or milk. I've used it for hot coffee too. Just boil some water and add it to the concentrate. A great hot cup of coffee with nearly no bitterness. But

I've done it in the past. Never loud enough to not hear traffic though. Even if I did have it cranked up it I could probably still hear better than people with insane car audio systems. Now I ride with only one earbud in. I adjusted my iPhone's audio settings to mono so that I get the full audio. Listening to only one

You mentioned it's less potent than the average cold-brew concentrate. I use the toddy system people mention here. Works like a charm and their suggestion to use 1 part concentrate to 3 parts milk or water is spot on. It's not the most glamorous looking thing though when brewing. Any idea what the concentrate level is

Alt text: Somewhere out there is a company that has actually figured out how to enlarge penises, and it's helpless to reach potential customers.

In these examples, it used well designed sculpted creations and gave them the depth they deserved. They used very few gimmicky "jump out" tricks and instead added depth to these highly detailed worlds that they built. It showcased the art. If you don't like it then that's fine, but I appreciate the detailed work that

I'm really excited for the Lisa Frank special edition iPhone cables to match my Trapper Keeper.

You see this as a biker or as a car driver?

Disagree. Into the screen can phenomenal. Coraline was a brilliant example of that as was the 3D re-release of Nightmare Before Xmas.

This whole "bikes break rules all the time" argument is getting old. I'm pretty sure the percentage of car drivers breaking the laws far exceeds the bikes. You don't see it when you're in a car. Bike to work one day. Almost get killed on a weekly basis. Your perspective will change.

Agreed. I've got an older laptop that's on it's way out and an iPad I carry around because of the portability. The iPad makes for a crappy business solution though (spreadsheets just don't work that well on there, and I've tried them all). This could replace both of those in one feel swoop. But it all depends on the

We need to drag it behind a car to truly see how well it is built.

I'm thinking of the outdoor concerts where there isn't any potable water. You can only buy bottled water at inflated prices.

Finally. That $7 bottle of water is worth it!

Woah! You can make phone calls with these things?

I hope they got grandfathered into an unlimited plan.

Looking at the Metrolink map, it looks like you're right. They even included the silver line bus and the LAX flyaway. Now they need to update it to include the Expo Line!

That's not LA's subway/lightrail map. I mean, it's in there but there are more lines that don't exist. I don't see it on their etsy site, but I've read in some other place that they take existing maps and then expand them to what they think it should be.
