I also thought of Rip Torn, he seems like he’d be right at home with corralling loose cannons who make his day hell but also get results. Yeah Tom Hardy is a great choice, I’ve seen him go absolutely wild in films like “Venom” or “Bronson” but also really focused in other ones. Damn, I forgot he actually played a

Yeah the old Savage standby of “open marriage and hire a sex worker for the kinky sex your partner is too tired/unwilling to do” is sort of the platonic ideal of good advice that when filtered into the real world becomes difficult to actually act on. Like it sounds as if it is a perfect fix for all around but

Patrick Stewart definitely has the look for Spider Jerusalem. Though I think if Jake Gyllenhaal brings some of that manic, obsessive, murderous zeal for journalism/inserting himself in stories that he had in “Nightcrawler” he’d be a good choice. Even though he looks nothing like him. Oh, and give me Brian Cox as

For sure, usually I err on the side of “perhaps they are bisexual” but in this case it seems like he’s the one in denial (she might be as well) and is just using his wife as a sex doll while his fantasies are the real deal for him.

I was thinking the same thing, she can get a strap on. Maybe even use it on herself if he isn’t game enough. They even make those that “cum” emissions that are similar to actual semen. Or, she can use his.

Yes, same here. Like, due to the quarantine it is obviously more difficult to find partners, but even before that I’d go through times where I was depressed yet also wanting to get laid and I’d find perfectly viable partners on tinder or grinder but never could make the move to make the diction nonfiction because I

It definitely reminds me of some of his stuff off of “Bone Machine” glad you made the connection! I’ll have to rewatch the film with that in mind. Hard to top Tom Waits/Triplets combined.

Tuvok was also really sweet to those kids in that one episode where he takes care of three random kids for most of the plot, I can’t remember its name but I remember the kid actors were really good. I love Tuvok though, probably my favorite character on Voyager.

Worf definitely did not have an easy path to fatherhood, especially since he doesn’t even know Alexander exists until the kid is like twelve years old. But I did like how they sort of came to terms with one another during DS9, like Alexander was never going to be a great warrior or stereotypical Klingon, but he had

Or Rhea Ripley

That’s a really good point, and speaks to the supposed “accuracy’ that a lot of the people complaining about female characters allege they are going for. Like they are in an uproar because “women can’t do *random physical activity*” but then when presented with a shredded physique of a woman who looks as if she could

I love playing as Argonians. When it comes to other games like WoW I find the female characters get better emotes and more unique moves like when dancing etc. The men dancing are mostly silly, with the exception of Trolls doing capoeira, but the women seem to be based on actual moves.

I do like gravelly voiced male characters when David Hayter is doing them though.

I really want to play Odyssey, but I promised myself I’d beat Syndicate before I get another AC game. As far as that goes with having the player characters be siblings of different genders, I thought they started out stereotypical but then expanded beyond that. Like Jacob was the fun loving clownish meathead who

I dunno, I kind of enjoy the blur. Like in Assassins Creed: Syndicate I was cool with doing missions for fictionalized versions of Marx and Darwin etc. Like, I knew they were just Ubisoft’s version of these historical people as they exist in the world of Assassin’s Creed, but it was still fun and I didn’t care if they

Yeah, and there are mythic worlds where in the actual lore gods shapeshift into different forms, genders, or animals etc. (like Loki turning into a mare to give birth to Slepnir) but if they happen to have a black guy playing Heimdall (the Thor movies) then suddenly that is a point of contention.

Half of a Yellow Sun is so damn good! I liked it so much I got one of her other books, “Purple Hibiscus” and I just read it last month. HoaYS is a lot better, and benefited from having multiple POV characters given the scope of the civil war, but if you like Half of a Yellow Sun you’ll probably like Purple Hibiscus.

I absolutely agree. They could have taken “The Defenders” off and put Umbrella Academy on and kept the same number of comic book adaptations.

I like that show as well! I enjoy both the subtle world building behind the disease and also all the goofy hijinks. I did not know that Barrymore or Olyphant could be so funny. Like, Olyphant was hilarious on ‘Justified” don’t get me wrong, but not in the same way, he’s so self-deprecating in SCD.

I’m glad you’re already enjoying TNG and are only finished (by the time you read this) with the first two seasons. The episodes get even better in seasons 3-5 and it does trail off near the end but the final parts of 7 are great. Most Star Treks, with the exception of ToS, take about 3 seasons to find their footing.
