I agree that making close friendships with people who provide services for you can be awkward, even more so if it is someone who regularly has to touch your body or mind, as in, any sort of therapist. Like, making friends with a local bartender you see often isn’t inherently weird, if you keep in mind that part of

Well there go my plans for having Boban Marjonovic play Lurch. He was good in “John Wick 3" and definitely has the towering physicality for the role. Plus, his only lines would likely be “You Rang?” so it’d be nigh impossible to screw up. And I want to see him in a tuxedo.

That still sounds like a good thing.

It did remind me of Young Americans, but also only after a review name-checked that album. I love Bowie and Young Americans, so the fact that Daddy’s Home didn’t immediately connect me to that one shows either 1) I’m not a very good music aficionado 2) The St. Vincent album isn’t as close to Young Americans as some

I don’t know if St Vincent’s work is declining, she just released a very good album. I didn’t like it as much as “Actor” or “Masseducation” but I like that she’s venturing into new genres and personal style, and isn’t just churning out the same old stuff. I’d have to watch the entire thing to really determine if they

Given what the review states, probably fans of Portlandia, Kroll Show, Nicolas Winding Refn, David Lynch, St. Vincent, maybe Curb Your Enthusiasm for the cringe parts. I’ll likely watch it. Though yeah, it does seem like it has a lot of disparate parts, and as the review says, is rather broad. So it probably has a

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a fun series, so I’m excited for this. Aquaman movies/shows should not take themselves too seriously. Brave and the Bold Aquaman was my jam, though Justice League/JLA with the hook hand and the long hair was a badass for sure.

If I was going to give Maya Rudolph an Emmy for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series it definitely would have been for her role as The Judge on “The Good Place” but then again she deserves a ton of awards, so I’m glad she at least is getting recognition for her humor, even if TGP > SNL.

...and summarily fractures his toe. Kind of a win/lose situation, if you’re trying to accumulate hospital bills for ranking “studies” such as these.

Agreed!

I like Dowd a lot, but Ignatiy Vishnevetsky is my favorite. Especially when he eviscerates a D/F movie. Funny, without seeming like he’s practicing a stand-up routine or shoehorning in jokes, and he is great at noting all the ways in which a film fails without seeming petty or overly mean.

I also hoped it would be good, cause I really like Edgar Wright and the premise intrigued me. Though even if it is objectively not as good as his other work, hopefully it’ll still be amusing. But the review made it seem like he took a lot of half formed ideas and chucked them in a blender.

That’s a good point. They even sort of look alike, Amick (during the first two Twin Peaks seasons) and Lily James (in Baby Driver). I liked Shelly Johnson a lot though, and thought that James’s character could have been better but wasn’t that bad.

I liked “Neon Demon” a lot, and it seems to have a few things in common with “Last Night in Soho” I’m a huge Edgar Wright fan, and while I know that every director has lesser work or creative misfires, maybe I’ll enjoy this film even if objectively it isn’t as critically acclaimed or as good as his other work.

True, I feel like they already need another new title to go with the TNT one. Good thing they borrowed some from TNA and NWA haha. I’m glad they have four shows to split the talent on, and that it seems like most big name stars don’t mind doing Dark or Elevation here and there. And they have some other feuds to keep

As to your second paragraph, I’d ask if the rest of the marriage besides the sex life was solid and if there were kids or a partner reliant on insurance or other entanglements. Because two people can stay married to one another even if they aren’t attracted to one another, for financial or family reasons, and just be

At least now the stars can jump to AEW. I mean, in the past there was New Japan and RoH and Dragon’s Gate and Lucha Underground (RIP) and so on but now a promotion that is on cable in the US where they can perform in front of crowds that are close enough to the size they’d perform in for WWE (adjusted for Covid) and

Oh yeah, I liked Ewan McGregor too, he was very adept at playing both brothers, the sad sack and the successful one who got in over his head. But yeah, poor Ray. I mean, normally I’d be against their relationship since as her parole officer he’s got power over here, but Fargo makes it clear that even though they are

I’m glad the article mentioned him in “Hap and Leonard” because while that show was decent, his performance was easily the best part, though his rapport with Purefoy was second best. I enjoyed it, each season had a great cast.

I really love that show and I thought your point was perfect. She really dips into that role and how she changed from being the brains and the planner to a person of action in the second half.
