that sounds like a great description. thanks for sharing. I like both Swiss Army Man and I’ve ready maybe a quarter of Vonnegut’s work so I enjoyed the comparison.

I liked the first season but the trailer for the second season makes it look a bit too dopey. Though they really drew me in for the first one so I’ll give em a shot.
I know you said that show was very funny and very dark but I have a feeling people will underestimate just how funny/dark it was. “A Young Doctor’s Notebook” was sooooo good. I wanted to recommend it to my sister cause she speaks Russian and loves their literature and history, but she can’t handle gore and gets sad…
He’s hilarious in that show “Miracle Workers” which is kind of up and down overall but has a superb cast and can be very funny at times.
Horns was pretty good. Radcliffe and his perfect American accent were definitely the best part of it though. It got a bit disjointed and incoherent at times, but I loved how messy the ending was. I really did.
If this is somehow a prequel to “Swiss Army Man” (like why he ended up as a corpse with odd abilities) I will be so pleased!
Arlo Givens and Logan Roy drinking whiskey and talking about ungrateful sons would be spot on though. And Bo Crowder can join in! Before he gets shot by both the Roy’s security and a random sniper.
Poor Greg getting caught up in a Crowe family cocaine deal would be perfect. Also Geri and Wendy Crowe can argue legal terms.
So what I gleaned from this round is that Dune knows how to.... Spice up your sex life eh? *rimshot*
Personally I would rather a “Justified” and “Succession” crossover. Think about it, one of the Roys, probably Shiv, goes to West Virginia on a political campaign, gets assigned Deputy Marshall Raylan Givens as protection. Boyd and Tom Wamsgams (thank you ma’am) show up and are awkward together. Logan and Art drink…
Jere Burns is definitely on the list of secretly jacked sixty year olds.
is there anything in the world that can’t be made better by inserting “Succession” in it? Also props to Macfadyen, the first time I watched the show I focused mostly on Logan and Roman but the second time around he really shines. Kind of hard to believe he’s the same prim and proper guy from “Ripper Street” talking…
To be fair to the filmmakers this movie was completed in mid-2017 before Miller’s atrocious behavior came to light and not everyone can afford to digitally insert Christopher Plummer in their films to take over for disgraced actors. Though that would be a definite upgrade over Miller!
And earlier in the episode he unwittingly pissed off an Uber driver so he’s blackballed from using it. So he has to use the subway and runs into Abbi and Ilana. Crossover!
I’m glad the studio took the high road and got a classy actor like Hoult to be the guy to try to kill Cruise and didn’t resort to stunt casting Bieber as the one who wants to fight Cruise.
Yes, I really liked him in his medium yet memorable role. Also it was fun recognizing the guy under all that makeup and wigs and doublets and such.
including a scene where they have to go through a construction area with cops and all the police refuse to believe anybody would actually want to kidnap Larry and let the car pass.
Stewart and Cassel are pretty amazing though. They were what drew me to this movie in the first place, and I stayed for the creepy underwater horror shenanigans.
Given his body’s ability to adapt to any role, it would only surprise me a bit of Christian Bale manages to survive that scenario haha. Only side effect is his voice is forever altered into his Batman one.
I love Ed Harris, and I respect him even more now for standing up for himself and his cast members against that tyrant. Though seriously if Cameron had killed Harris and deprived us of his post-Abyss work that would have been a tragedy on many levels.
