I also enjoyed how the New gods got fleshed out and added onto from the book. Plus the semi-cordial relationship between the Old and the New back in the day before the conflict really picked up, back when Tech and Media and Columbia were still nascent and not trying to “take over the scene” and such. The casting

Yeah I think they landed on their feet pretty well with New Media. Especially since their old focus was on TV/radio and the new one is all about social Media, that was a clever if natural progression. I miss Gillian Anderson, but they did quite well all things considered.

The person in that cosplay is a pretty famous queer person. So I doubt it.

The person in the picture they used, Miles Jai, is black so...

In that particular film the Babadook latched onto her resentment and anger and it wasn’t until she learned how to live with her emotions that her and the Babadook could reach a balance of power.

I do enjoy how out of the blue it was. But the way the Babadook functions in the film could be a metaphor for suppressing your sexuality vs. being comfortable with it. Like in that particular movie it was an expression of her resentment and anger, but I'm just talking about the mechanics of that entity in general.

You’re acting like he’s even going to attempt to read it, instead of having the staff fetch him a bowl of ice cream and then flying back to Mar a Largo and tweeting about Dems the whole way.

Too bad Kevin Conroy looks more like an older version of the Riddler than a younger version of the Batman or we could get two birds stoned at once and just cast him in this movie.

I loved “Horns” as well and it also had a very enjoyable adaptation. You’d probably like “Locke and Key” if you liked “Horns” though I haven’t read through it in a while.

Oh yeah, Conroy is the best for sure! Of course, as a professional voice actor, that is kind of his thing, being the “best-sounding” guy.

It kind of sucks they put so much work into the slow burning turn of Bash realizing he might be closeted where with Arthie one episode she’s a bit grossed out by Yolanda and sex talk and then suddenly she’s dancing with her in the “Evil Twin” montage and then moving in the next. Like, I think she deserved some equal

I thought that about him as well, though I think him jumping into a green card marriage with Britannica right after his best friend’s gay lifestyle got uncovered kind of speaks to him being more than just an oblivious rich dipshit, like maybe he is oblivious to a few things about his sexuality and that’s why his knee

Battinson is gold. Bobbert Battinson.

Nah Nolan was the one who had Bale do the raspy voice. Snyder was the voice modulator. I agree about Pattinson’s voice though, he’d sound fine as Wayne if he channels his even tone in “Cosmopolis” but would probably need a modulator to do a scary Batman voice.

I like the cast that is portraying them (BRIAN COX!) so maybe that’ll make them seem more consistent, the fact that there is an actor to channel their horseperson into one complete character.

Hopefully the show can re-order some of the parts you mentioned where the characters appear and disappear randomly and how underwhelming the Horsemen were. Unfortunately, the review mentioned the pacing and the horsemen were also lame in the adaptation, but we’ll see.

Season one of American Gods was incredible. The second, a bit meandering. This review of Good Omens and how faithful it is to the book makes me think that your take of “middling” is probably correct because that book had a lot of ups and a few glaring downs. I’m looking forward to Hamm doing his thing, but the book,

And Ghidorah! Best/scariest Kaiju ever.

I don’t like him on the show, especially that “smile” he has that looks like robots trained him how to do it. But the dude has donated a ton of his winnings already, so I have to commend him for that. I know that donating to charities is the first thing you do after making bank in this manner or winning the lottery,

Oh yeah I got what you were saying. That’s why I was calling out for some of that WWE Vince McMahon mad money. I’d much rather him finance a kaiju movie than the new XFL. It’ll probably make him more profit in the long run as well.
