I’m hoping that by the time the 1-year timed exclusivity is over, they’re ready to release an extra chapter or two along with it on PC.

Highly foolish, I know.

That was hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.

Step 1: Says has too many things more important than putting console on shelf.

Steam Sale got its hooks into my wallet yesterday, though only barely.

Came here prepared to have to lobby for Islanders. Very pleased to see it mentioned, so thank you.

Right-click the tab in Chrome and select “Mute Site”. It was the only thing that made CNN the least bit tolerable.

I want to love Sunless Sea, but initial impression (first ten minutes) was that it had way too steep of a learning curve for me to get into right now. Is that accurate?

Nothing in Bio1 was as scary as hearing a Big Sister scream, knowing shit was going to real, real fast.

Bioshock 2, Sleeping Dogs, and Remember Me are great acknowledgments. Remember Me’s prediction of climate-driven mass human migrations is eerily prescient.

That’s really cool to hear. Thanks for remembering it. Like I said above, I’m the guy Jason Schreier interviewed back in May about “The Walkthrough: Insider Tales From a Life in Strategy Guides”, my memoir about writing strategy guides for BradyGames & Prima. That’s really cool that you remember it. Glad to have helped. It was one of my very first paid assignments way back when. FWIW: I’m the guy Jason Schreier interviewed back in May about “The Walkthrough: Insider Tales From a Life in Strategy Guides”, my memoir about writing strategy guides for BradyGames & Prima.

As for

This is a masterful review, Heather. Very well done. Having wrote the original IGN guide for Shenmue back in 2000 as a rookie author, and having hoped to have done a guide for Shenmue 3 had Prima Games not gone to that great library in the sky, the series holds a special place in my heart.

I don’t think anybody would argue that — and I say this as someone who spent a large part of his life surfing.

Actually, I hear she even had a control group, but it was the “peer review” part of the process that she really struggled with.

You’re a long way from being old. :)

Now playing

Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer came out in 2002 and was way better.

Melania can be forgiven. It’s hard enough keeping all the official holidays straight, we can’t expect her to know that “Christmas in July” is a thing, but “Christmas in November” isn’t.

There are a lot of parallels here. I once Gamefly’d EA’s Rugby game because I thought it sounded fun, had watched a couple matches on television while traveling and wanted to give it a try.

Starts video. Wonders why there’s no sound, then remember I have your site perma-muted in Chrome because of the goddamn auto-play ads.

Same here. I didn’t believe it, then remembered a colleague writing the guide for the original Gamecube game, then thinking, “Wow, that was back when I lived in North Carolina. 2001 doesn’t really seem “nearly twenty years ago” but here we are.
