I give absolutely no shits about ray tracing and even I instantly translated “RTX” into “ray tracing” without conscious thought. I guess most pedants nowadays are so lazy that they’d rather go with standard nerd rage than basic reading comprehension. Not surprised.

That wasn't a clash between them so much as Goku wanting to give Vegeta a fair shot at contributing to the fight.

Look, you can play semantics all you want, but Vegeta didn’t come and challenge Goku for the Earth mano e mano. He came with Nappa, so (his own backstabbing aside) it was for all intents and purposes a lopsided team battle. One which Vegeta and Nappa lost even if Goku got knocked out early.

You do you, baby. You do you.

It’s a good thing I like how I sound just fine then, isn’t it?

And I’m sure it took you a lot of effort and brainpower to say that. I’m very proud of you.

Mmm, it really depends on what genres you’re talking about. I grew up playing lots of JRPGs (loaded term, I know) that let you make your own characters; in fact, I gravitated toward them since I vastly prefer developing my own characters than watching the writer’s. Games especially tended to have a more... escapist

People like what they like, but if you can say those games are “perfection” with a straight face, I think your nostalgia glasses prescription needs updating.

Honestly, X turned me off significantly due to a number of factors (not the least of which was the completely undisguised railroading), so I can totally get feeling like it was the start of a bad trend.

If we’re being real, Japan as a whole has always had a massive problem with adapting to new situations and constraints. Not so much when it comes to things they can’t do anything about (famously taking natural disasters on the chin) but rather when it comes to having to make a conscious choice to moving away from the

Oh, I’m not being hostile. I just love pointing out obvious absences of basic reading comprehension and laziness and watching people get defensive about it. Like, you admitted ignorance. It happens, take it on the chin and move on. Replying defensively will do absolutely nothing but net me more amusement than I

If you don’t know that it is, it explains a lot more and makes me laugh at you even harder. Thanks for the smile.

And I’m happy for them, but I do not consider using tools to do the tricks to be an achievement, and never will. That it’s a step to an actual achievement with said achievement only being possible because of said step does not make it an achievement itself.

Which is all well and good, but I don’t consider reading the same thing often enough to know where to put the bracket in a text editor to be a compelling reason to call it an achievement. Hence the AI comparison.

I am happy that I bothered you enough to cuss me out.

You admit that you had no idea what the article was talking about, jumped to a conclusion that could have been resolved with a quick google search, and then got butthurt that someone had the gall to call you out on it when the answers were in easy reach. I have no sympathy.

No, he’s correct. Telling a computer to do it and then calling it an achievement is no different than telling an AI to make art and then claiming you’re an artist. It may be interesting, but it’s not an achievement to anyone but a small circle of programmers.

Lalafell are the most badass race in FFXIV. They can do literally everything other races can physically do, but have to be even stronger to do it to make up for their lack of height, reach, and weight. I don’t play one personally, but when the party is led by a three foot something paladin, I know I’m in damn good

I love isekai as a concept. Fish out of water with both sides learning about the other is, to me, peak storytelling fodder, but Japan just has to sell to the escapist fantasy instead.

But a Mario Kart dataminer later determined that most of the cast had their speeds buffed. Almost every character had ground, water, and anti-gravity speeds increased by one point. The exceptions were Metal Mario, Gold Mario, Pink Gold Peach, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Roy, Wario, Dry Bowser, Bowser, Morton, and giant
