Yes indeed. With the back seats down i filled it to the window sills with cinder blocks and it took it in stride. Love the hard plastic cargo area and back of the seats. Also, since relating to another article the rear visibility with the head rests removed is fantastic(before the ‘09 refresh).

Can confirm, my Matrix has space where it counts. Especially when hauling 2 kids every day.
