It just seems odd to me that some of the plans I am seeing on the Healthcare.gov portal would be cheaper and still offer comparable coverage since supposedly my employer is paying for part of the plan. I guess I will wait and see what the actual increase/final cost will be, then go comparison shopping.

According to the email we received from HR, that increase is the out-of-pocket premium that employees will be paying. I guess the employee-only portion is less than the 9.5%, but it still seems like a larger increase than expected.
