@Hand_O_Death: Someone would ban you from procreating for misusing "your." I'd even do it, except that I don't believe in prohibiting people from procreating. Like it or not, it's a human ability and legislating control of the human body is a very dangerous thing.
@Zaph31: You're looking for Star Wars Galaxies back before the "New Game Experience" which literally just turned the game into a pile of shit. Before that though, I had a Wookie character who focused on melee and scouting. The scouting system was great. That game was amazing back in the good days.
@2c-b: Well said, and my current replay of KotOR has proved much more enjoyable with the assistance of a certain substance. Video games become much better.
@miquonranger03: The Quickening: Gotcha. I think I'll try Red Alert today as well. I've heard good things about Total War too! Ahh so many games to try, good stuff.
@miquonranger03: The Quickening: What else have you played in the genre besides Civilization? I hated Civ but I love games like Age of Empires and Empire Earth.
@Rohsiph: No honor in warfare these days, eh? Call it what you want it, but hiding behind the legal system is cowardly.
"Terahertz detectors could also be used...to detect illegal substances hidden in people's clothes."
@Michael Dukakis: A single apostrophe changes the meaning of the entire word. I don't think it's nit-picky—it's just speaking the language properly.
Great article—I love when Kotaku goes in-depth into the nuances of video games. More of this please!
This picture is amazing; thanks for making my day a little happier.
@buddhatooda: Ah, now that's a legitimate point.
Oy oy, don't spoil Ender's Game for those who haven't read it please. That book changed my life :)
@jihadjoe343: My point exactly; it's pathetic.
@buddhatooda: Does that make it right? For fuck's sake, get some damn empathy. These people are victims of circumstance—they didn't choose to be stuck in a life that requires them to work to the point of death to feed their families. Do you really think they'd turn down better work if it were offered to them?
@Deanb: See, I agree with you that the oil spill is much more significant, but don't pretend people are giving that disaster the attention it deserves. Even the oil spill, which is going to affect us in SO MANY ways, is still being trivialized by fools.
This shit is unacceptable. I can't believe people aren't more outraged about this.
Amazing article, well said! I completely agree :).
@Jezuz: I hope the banhammer hits you with righteous fury, if for nothing else than taking up so much damn space with that crap.
