Damn, I have to edit the comment.

I guess the point of the Blechdel test is mostly to provoke a conversation about the topic, gender representation in the media, I don't think it's supposed to be taken literally, as a test that every film has to take, ratings are very subjective, and we all hate them because of that.
That was one of the recommendations of the Center of Study of Women, for producers and writers, just switch the gender of a couple of characters and that's it, you don't need to add anything and you have an interesting female character.
I usually agree with Oliver's reviews but I don't think this episode was A territory. The puppet mini-challenge was really unfunny and the main challenge was very underwhelming, I think it was the worst musical number of all seasons and most of the girls' looks were missing the point, this challenge is about realness…
I was listening to this one today and I gotta say, it's quite lovely, laidback, sweet and lovely, maybe a little samey, but overall very pleasant. I think it was meant to be that way, I'm looking forward to driving to the beach listening to it.
I love this episode because of its bittersweetness. If I made a list of bittersweet Simpsons episodes, I guess I would find out I love them all, but I'm too lazy to do that.
This was awesome. It renewed my love and interest in the show.
And with stronger justification.
I agree that the main difference is the popularity of the movies he's done after Pirates, before Pirates he had kind of a "low profile" and after Pirates he's become a household name and works in bigger budget movies.
I want to sell my underwear too. Is there a market for 5 year-old Fruit of the Loom torn boxers?
Back in 93 or 94 someone broke into my parents' house and stole my CD collection. I still remember there were only 3 CD's left, which I had lent to a friend: The Cure - Disintegration, My Bloody Valentine - Loveless and Jellyfish - Bellybutton. Actually, I still have them in a box somewhere.
I haven't checked the new St. Vincent but Angel Olsen and Sun Kil Moon are my FOTY so far, too. I guess I have to check it out.
I'm really loving this. Been waiting for this since they released Red Eyes, which just really really got me excited about this.
He just turned from Hodor to Hotter.
I don't have much to add to the conversation, just wanted to say that in this episode Gia Gunn was killing it not killing it.
BTW, you can make jokes about these kind of topics, but you need to be funny, and able to cope with the backlash.
The 2 recommendations for gender equality Geena Davis (who has something to do with this Center) made were brilliant, for writers and producers and whatnot, if you have peripheral characters, like cops showing up, pizza delivery guy, etc, make them female, you don't need to change anything but the gender and that's…
Ok, unblocker does wonders, so if you have Netflix, Orphan Black and Justified are streaming right now in Netflix Latin American.
I also found it disturbing, the kind of joke that doesn't age well at all. I don't think it was meant to be offensive, but that's the thing, it's not the intention but the act that counts.
You can use Unblocker to check Latin American Netflix, they added season 4 around two months after it finished airing, and all the seasons are available.
