i would take a bet that it was something to do with a giant government conspiracy changing time zones/fake sun to make us think it is round etc. It is always a government conspiracy.

I think I might be the only person on this thread who only got father christmas presents not parent presents! You got the stocking at the end of the bed full of little things (and obviously a satsuma), and then a couple of bigger presents by the fire place.

how someone treats the people they see as less important than themselves - be that people in the service industry, non-famous people, underlings at work, other races or genders etc - says much much more about who they are as a person than how they treat someone they see as an equal or above them.

As a bartender I have learnt that one of the best way to respond to annoying comments (ie, ‘do you have any nice blondes, obviously apart from you?’, wink wink) is just to stare back with a completely dead expression on your face, until they get uncomfortable and ask for something properly.

What I dont understand with that is that I got it when it first came out (somewhere between 12-14ish), and I had no idea HPV was a STD. All I knew is it was something that caused cancer and the jab would stop it.

well, it gets brought up a lot but I would bet a tenner that asked for more details, 80% would just say ‘fought bad nazis, won war, we are great’.
