Constant monster closets make for a scary, but not very fun game.

What Ganon From Breath Of The Wild Might Actually Look Like

Yeah, Arc Warden is laughably OP now.  The fact that his clones add to the damage count is ridiculous.

Literally the only listenable show on ESPN radio.

Yeah...as much as I agree that some units are OP right now, the game has been out for literally a month, so complaining about the “meta” is kind of ridiculous at this point. It’s in active development and balance changes are being made regularly.

And as you post...

Now if they could only optimize a game worth a damn.

Start times are....already not great?  The semi-final game between Dragons and Titans started at 10:00 p.m. on the East Coast. The following game between Valiant and Shock started at *midnight.*

Yeah, but I’d argue that most Nintendo games have art styles where the lack of AA is not felt too acutely and is an acceptable tradeoff for better performance (near locked 60 FPS in the case of Smash). Here, the aliasing is distracting, and from the footage I’ve seen, performance is 30 fps at best. It seems hard to

No AA seems to be nintendo’s thing. I know for sure Super Smash Bros and most Zelda titles don’t have AA.  Probably more don’t use AA as well.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say: whatever the hell is going on in this article.

While I am baffled by the decision to pair this art style with what appears to be absolutely zero anti-aliasing, the game otherwise looks alright.

I’m excited for this, but seriously, whose idea was it to combine this art style with apparently zero anti-aliasing? It looks horrid.

I’m liking Graveyard Keeper too, even though the Switch version is a bit pants.

Didn’t know that. That is legit a huge improvement. Can’t tell you the number of times I totally whiffed in DQB1 because I was just out of range, and then got a bunch of contact damage trying to get in range.

Same. I would much prefer to play this on Switch but the performance demo performance is horrible, and I’ve heard the full game is worse. I don’t know if it’s a consequence of the bigger, more open areas, or just Omega Force’s usual inability to optimize games at all (DQB1 was developed in house by Square Enix).  I

Yes.  There is a map and minimap.

Can you talk about the performance? I ended up ordering this for PS4 (despite preferring to play on Switch) because the Switch demo ran at an unlocked 30 fps, usually lower, and I’ve heard it just gets worse as the game goes on. For reference, DQB1 ran at 60 docked on Switch, as does the sequel on PS4.

Unfortunately

I played the demo and despite liking it a lot the framerate on the Switch is very unstable, especially on docked mode. It's a shame because this is clearly a perfect Switch game.

Mine’s in the mail and arriving tomorrow! I can’t wait, even though I -really- don’t need more crafting/farming games right now.  (Currently obsessing over Graveyard Keeper.)  I love that the Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing-alikes are just coming outta the woodwork nowadays!
