I have a simpler solution. It’s all this guy:

For whatever reason, Chidi’s “WHY?!?!” being pushed into the water was my biggest laugh.

The gags about Eleanor understanding nothing about the life or perspective of a nine year old girl (how old are you, three? well, good luck on the SATs) were ridiculous and perfect

Eleanor’s mom’s shame about her drinking night with the ladies involving her having one glass .... of chardonnay ... with an ice cube in it, and Eleanor busting her on it, was comedy gold (particularly compared to her old morning ritual of seven shots of Seagram’s Seven)

“No, mom. Ya basic.” Delivered so sincerely.

With an endless cocaine fountain for Mindy.

Remember, Tahani’s parents are dead (per season 1's “Category 55 Emergency Doomsday Crisis”). Perhaps they, too, also faked their deaths, but that’s more of a Shellstrop dirtbag move.

seriously, is there anything Eleanor could have said to Tahani that was more romantic than saying she never really cared about Kamilah anyway?

Not to get too far into politics, but this double episode was the perfect antidote to the other stuff I was watching on TV earlier in the evening--intelligent, funny, and relentlessly optimistic about the ability of flawed humans (and demons) to make themselves better.

What does comparing the failure rate of umpires to that of players establish? They don’t have the same job. The game requires the failure of players, in order for there to be strikeouts. The game does not require the failure of umpires.

By far the best part of the letter as pointed out on Deadspin:

3 games - sexual assault.

Are you reading a different comment section than this one?

I’m not sure a priest’s testimony is the best example to make in a sexual misconduct/assault case.

You know, Based upon the evidence, I’m starting to think this guy might just be an asshole.

I gotta wonder, is headbutting indicative of hard fucking, or just incompetent fucking?

Yes, because as we all know, appearing on a Netflix series is a constitutional right we’d be denying Mr. Tambor.

This is sad and all too similar to the endless number of women who are physically and emotionally abused, only to decline to press charges and/or leave.

“This match-up has all the makings of a classic series...”

I spent a few wild and crazy Spring Breaks at Padre in the late 90s and somehow managed to avoid being indicted by a grand jury for aggravated sexual assault of a child. You’re really willing to chalk being arrested for gang rape up to youthful irresponsibility? That’s extremely fucked up.
