I do agree with that part of it. I want my kid to be as tough as possible, but kind as well. And, unfortunately, there are mean people in this world. I hate that I have to teach him that, but I do.

Unfortunately, my 6-year-old godson is already calling people names. Every time I visit it is something new. My three-year-old thinks he is so cool (not because of the name-calling, but just in general) and I have to keep telling him not to repeat godson and that it is never okay to say those things to people.
