As someone that is allegedly on the cusp of Millennial and Gen-X (which I totally dispute), I would much rather be considered a Gen-Xer by definition alone.

Trust me. By definition, you are NOT a Millennial. I can’t stand those fuckers that say anyone born from 1980-1985/90 is a Millennial. Fuck that noise. it is not so. We are part of Generation X more than Millennial.
