I didn’t plan out that thought properly. Yes, she could still be suffering from mental illness, but her intent to kill her children and herself is still criminal and deserves punishment and treatment, in my opinion.

It can be both. But I do think that mentally ill people can still think rationally. Some people are sociopaths and have no feeling. (Not saying that is this woman’s case, just in general.)

maybe I didn’t state that correctly. My point is, she still deserves to be punished for thinking out and planning this. As others have stated, she was not living in a fantasy world. She could tell the difference between fantasy and reality. She knew what she was doing.

When I first read this article on another site there was no picture of her and nowhere did it say what color she was. But I think this woman got lucky with only 8 years in. I don’t care what color her skin is—she killed her children.

The prosecution apparently claimed that she killed them because her boyfriend (and father of her children) was having a baby with someone else.
