Me too!! She is pretty stubborn, though. I keep telling her she should quit smoking (or at the very least, not smoke around her kids) too. I get that it is hard to stop some things, but for your kids sake, it is worth it.

I agree with YesYesThisAgain. I never read that stuff till I was about 12 or so, and it was in actual teen magazines, not younger children’s magazines.

I agree with you 100%. My friend recently realized her mother gave her body insecurity issues; not because her mom ever criticized her, but because her mom was critical of her own body.

That’s awful. I don’t really remember feeling self-conscious until I was at least ten. Not much better, but, damn.

It is sad that girls have to be self-conscious about anything. (Or guys, for that matter.) It is an extremely unfortunate reality, however. But I think this was definitely the wrong magazine for it. At 12, I was reading teen magazines, so probably more appropriate for the age.

Why did they need to photoshop her chin in the first place? That WAS intentional. Photoshopping someone’s chin does not just happen by accident. Clearly, they thought there was something wrong with her chin that they photoshopped it. So, yeah, a form of bullying.

I know someone that escorted her through the airport once (airport police) and he was a huge fan. He said she was such a bitch. Not friendly at all. Acted like she was better than everyone else.
