Noticing a patterns of slideshows on these sites now. Not a fan of it. Feels like a G/O Media thing and it just feels like a sign of things to come. Unfortunate. Thanks for writing this though. I’m assuming it wasn’t your decision to make this a slideshow post.

I know the overlords want you to use the slideshow because it loads more ads, but the user experience is terrible. No one wants a slideshow unless it’s images only, as it’s own box that doesn’t reload the page every time.

None of this will cause undue stress, the network is resilient to going well past your data caps. Comcast just wants you to think it causes issues.

I greatly appreciate you listing what was all changed since last time. Purely stating it’s a repost of an old article with “updates” makes it come across as a misleading revised timestamp on an old piece. Listing out what’s been updated shows it actually is current and worthy of a new timestamp.
